“Campo del Re” takes its name from the land where the vineyard is situated. Grapes harvested were intended for the production of wines for King Ferdinando II di Borbone. Wine produced was particularly appreciated at court, so much that the local farmers named the vineyard “Campo del re” which literally means “King’s land” .
